چکیده
The biomass slow pyrolysis using the fixed-bed pyrolyzer is a simple and inexpensive technique that can be used in small farms comparing to complex expensive technology of fast pyrolysis. However, primary produces bio-char lower yields bio-oil pyrolytic gas. Thus, there urgent need enhance gas production under conditions on account due advantage wide applications farm. Hence, this work aims fabricate operate small-scale fixed bed productivity from ground pieces Mango trees Pruning Logs (MPLs) (heating rate 0.01-1 oC/s, vapor residence time 4 min.) full absence oxygen. was investigated different final temperatures 300,350 400°C, particle length ranges 1-5, 10-15 20-25 mm. obtained results revealed that, increase temperature 300-400°C decrease MPL 1-5 mm accompained with explicit increment concentration, yield, higher heating value (HHVg) energy conversion efficiency by about 34.28%, 61.15%, 12.68% 66.10%, respectively along high concentrations combustible gases )e.i. Pressurised pyrolysis of Miscanthus using a fixed bed reactor.
Miscanthus x giganteus was pyrolysed, in a fixed bed reactor in a constant flow of dinitrogen gas, at a rate of 13°C/min from ambient to 550°C, then held for 25 min at this temperature. The pressures employed ranged from atmospheric to 26 bar. The major compounds identified in the bio-oil were water, phenol, and phenol derivatives. The water contents impact on the usefulness of the bio-oil as a...
متن کاملThermochemical Conversion: Jatropha curcus in Fixed Bed Reactor Using Slow Pyrolysis
Thermochemical conversion of non-edible biomass offers an efficient and economically process to provide valuable fuels and prepare chemicals derived from biomass in the context of developing countries. Pyrolysis has advantages over other thermochemical conversion techniques because it can convert biomass directly into solid, liquid and gaseous products by thermal decomposition of biomass in the...
متن کاملProduction of Bio-oil by Oxidative Pyrolysis of Sewage Sludge in Rotating Fixed Bed Reactor
Pyrolysis is an attractive thermal conversion technology used to produce bio-oil and some chemicals. In this study, we investigated the pyrolysis of sewage sludge under N2 and CO2 atmosphere at various temperatures (350-750°C) in a rotating fixed bed reactor. For under N2 atmosphere, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) shows two major reaction peaks centered at 300 and 500°C. However, if CO2 was...
متن کاملA Novel Energy-Efficient Pyrolysis Process: Self-pyrolysis of Oil Shale Triggered by Topochemical Heat in a Horizontal Fixed Bed
This paper proposes a novel energy-efficient oil shale pyrolysis process triggered by a topochemical reaction that can be applied in horizontal oil shale formations. The process starts by feeding preheated air to oil shale to initiate a topochemical reaction and the onset of self-pyrolysis. As the temperature in the virgin oil shale increases (to 250-300°C), the hot air can be replaced by ambie...
متن کاملProduction of Activated Carbon from Palm-oil Shell by Pyrolysis and Steam Activation in a Fixed Bed Reactor
The research objective was to produce activated carbon from palm-oil shells by one step pyrolysis and steam activation in a fixed bed reactor with the diameter of 100 mm. The studied variables were activation temperature, activation time, palm-oil shell sizes and flow rate of air. The results showed that the optimum condition was 1.18-2.36 mm of palm-oil shells at 750C for 2 hr with air flow ra...
